The Five Star Quality Care Center, 333 Maple, licensed by the state of
Nebraska as an intermediate care facility, was built in 1970 with a capacity for
62. Services include regular nursing care, dietary care, and laundry. A recreation

Rescue Squad
The Sutherland Volunteer Fire Department has 20 Emergency Medical Technicians
who are certified to operate the department's two ambulances and have a search
and rescue dive team.
Hospital
The Great Plains Regional Medical Center (GPRMC), a 130-bed, full-service acute care medical facility in North Platte, 20 miles east of Sutherland, provides major health care services to the 100,000 people living in Nebraska's west-central region.
