Sutherland is a thriving community of 1,129 people located in west-central Nebraska. Founded in 1891, Sutherland was incorporated as a village in April 1905. Traditional American values - family, work, church, school and community have provided a strong fabric for our community. Sutherland citizens are very community oriented, and dedicated to church and civic organizations.
